Robert "Bob" Rice is the Managing Partner of the Hudson Valley General Office. He leads with a passion and energy for building people, developing leaders, and creating opportunities for professionals to build meaningful careers while making a lasting impact on the families and communities they serve.
Bob joined New York Life in 2013 and quickly distinguished himself as both a Financial Professional and a Leader.
His early recognition included New Organization Agent of the Year and the Life Foundation Award before he transitioned into Management and began building a consistent record of leadership, recruiting, and talent development.
Throughout his career, Bob has earned numerous company honors, including multiple Partner of the Year awards, Partner Excellence recognition, Northeast Zone Recruiting Legend Awards, and back-to-back Legacy Cup honors in 2024 and 2025. While proud of these accomplishments, Bob measures success less by awards and more by the people he has the opportunity to develop and see succeed.
Today, that philosophy drives his leadership of the Hudson Valley General Office. Bob believes great organizations are built by finding talented people, investing in their development, setting high standards, and creating a culture where people genuinely want one another to win. His vision is to build an organization that develops the next generation of financial professionals and leaders while serving more families, businesses, and communities throughout the Hudson Valley.
A graduate of the University of California, San Diego, Bob earned his degree in Sociology with studies in Theoretical Economics. Growing up in a Marine Corps family and spending time traveling and living around the world helped shape his perspective on leadership, discipline, relationships, and the value of learning from others.
As proud as Bob is of his professional accomplishments, his greatest source of pride is his family. He has been happily married to his wife, Day, for 25 years. Day is also part of the New York Life family. Together, they are incredibly proud of the four children they have raised: Zack, a successful Entrepreneur; Savannah, a Doctor;
Ellah, who has followed her parents into New York Life; and Dayne, who is completing his Business degree at the University of Central Florida.
For Bob, leadership and life ultimately come down to legacy - not simply what you accomplish, but the people you develop, the opportunities you create, and how many lives are better because you were part of their journey.
